Style trend : Lacquer in the Kitchen
Lacquer seems to be popping up in all of the European home design magazines these days. The high gloss lacquer look on Kitchen cabinets is quite popular in Europe and is making it's way west.

I think I counted at least a half dozen advertisements for Italian & German kitchen manufacturers advertising lacquered kitchen cabinets in this month's Wallpaper*. Fortunately the new lacquered cabinets coming out of Europe have a fresh look to them. They are are very different than the glossy black & gold lacquered look that hit the US during the Wall street 80's.

Lacquer is currently selling very well in places such as NY & Miami. Look for lacquer to start showing up in more kitchen showrooms on the west coast soon.
