The Modern Cabana
Prefabricated homes are receiving a fair amount of press these days. The Modern Cabana takes a different spin on prefabricated dwellings.

Living in one of the most expensive real estate markets in the country forces you to look for ingenious solutions to space and housing issues. Disappointed with the options for additional space in out buildings, a bland shed from a big box store or a building requiring permits, the founders of Modern Cabana set out to create a cost effective, aesthetically appealing outbuilding.

Uses range from home office & pool house to kids playhouse or artist studio. I like the idea of using the cabana as a personal spa retreat. A Japanese soaking tub and an outdoor shower deck can make you feel miles away from your very own home.
The cabanas are available in sizes beginning at 10'x10' and are made for year round use. You simply pick the model and size you prefer, any options such as redwood siding, cedar shingles, etc, and usually within 6-8 weeks your cabana shows up flat packed and ready for assembly. The assembly of the cabana can be a bit more than the average handy man can handle so professional assembly might sometimes be required.

Prices begin at $12,000 for the basic model and go up from there. With a simple addition to a home in the San Francisco Bay area easily running $100,000 or more, the Modern Cabana can seem like an downright bargain. For more info visit Modern Cabana
